I have been thinking about coming back for some time – but I haven’t had the time nor topic that I thought could sustain a blog with any longevity. But in the last couple of days, I’ve decided what I want to share on a regular basis, and I’m very excited about it.
It’s pretty simple – I’m tired of living in a negative world. No matter what you watch or listen to, read or hear, it all seems so negative. Crime is up. The market is down. Housing is slow. Retail is sluggish. The war is a failure. Terrorism is on the rise. Morals are slipping. Toys are toxic. Pet food is tainted. Garbage is piling up. The earth is warming. Wild spaces are vanishing. Children are abused. Pets are neglected.
You get the picture.
I’m making the choice to look at life differently. I believe there are good things at every turn. I know God has surrounded me with good things. I’m not a pollyanna. I know there is hunger and desperation, war and poverty, evil and strife. But life has taught me that when I dwell on the bad, I only see the bad and I feel bad. When I dwell on the good, I see more good and I feel good.
That’s what this blog will be about – the good things I see and experience at every turn. There are so many – people, places, foods, experiences. Some are big, and some are small. But whenever I’ve been able to filter out the doom and gloom that seems to come from every direction, I see good. I feel good. I hope that this blog will help you do the same.
There really are good things at every turn.
